Our Program

It is our goal to train a safe and enjoyable barrel horse that is fun to compete on and willing.  We strive to create calm and relaxed horses that have confidence and can run successfully in any arena setting. 

We want the rider to be involved as much as possible in the training process.  That is why we offer a free lesson once a week while your horse is in our program, and encourage the rider to visit and observe often. 

It is important to us that the rider and horse learn how to become teammates in barrel racing.

Creating a winning horse starts with creating a successful horse and rider team!

Learning the Pattern...

Horses must be 3 years old and older and the horse must be broke to enter our program.  We offer 30 to 90 day programs depending on the horse. 

We start your horse slow focusing on leg pressure, reining, and flexing the horse's body for a better turn.  Your horse will learn body position for the turn, rate at the barrel, and changing leads from the first barrel to the second and more!

*We also offer pole bending training!

Off to the races!

Once your horse is patterned on the barrels then we will haul it to local barrel races and start introducing it to the sights and sounds of a race. 

When your horse is ready we will start running exhibitions on barrels. 

Trail rides

We will take trail rides that all riders in the program, and friends, will be invited to attend. 

Trail rides are free on your own horse and do not count against the free weekly lesson. 

Anyone is welcome to attend.  Bring your own snacks and drinks.

Need a tune up?

We will tune up your horse and get him back into shape for competition!  

Horses brought in for tune ups will stay on a weekly basis and be accessed for readiness at the end of each week.   

Pricing

Horses will stay in a stall with daily turnout.

• Barrel Training per month is $450.00 with feed and hay included.

• Barrel Training per month is $350.00 with owner supplying feed and hay.

• Tuning up is $100.00 per week, owner provides hay and feed.

•  Add $125.00 per month for Pole Bending Training.

Owner is responsible for veterinary charges, farrier, and other equine specialist fees or supplements.
